14th session of Child Parliament today

Daily Sun; 16 October, 2017 : The 14th session of the Child Parliament (CP), a platform to make children literate with democratic culture, will be held at Bangladesh Shishu Academy (BSA) in the capital today.  
It will focus on impact of disaster on education sector.   
A total of 35 child representatives from 31 disaster-prone areas will take part in the session where Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman is scheduled to attend the programme as the chief guest.
State Minister for Finance and Planning Mr. M.A. Mannan, and Director Anjir Liton will be present at the event as the special guests.
The CP is the advocacy wing of child rights organisation National Chilren Task Force (NCTF) which is working in participation of children from age 13 to 18 in 64 districts.
CP Speaker Meftahun Nahar said, “As a child rights advocacy platform, the CP has been placing different issues of children in their own voices since 2003.”
In association with development agency Plan International and Save the Children, the BSA has been supporting the children platform.
