To commemorate CRC week 2016, three days programme organized at Rayerbazar, Dhaka under ICDP programme of Save the Children with the partner Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS). Khan Abdul Bashar, Deputy Director- Social Welfare Department, Dhaka attended as chief guest with the special guest Md. Tariquzzaman, Assistant Director, Directorate of sports and Rashida Begum, District Children Affairs Officer, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Dhaka.

On 28 to 29 September, wall magazine prepared by the children in the slum and displayed in five Children Resource Centre. Different age group of children participated with stories, arts, rhymes to express their views, opinions and recommendations. On 2nd October 2016, a daylong event organized including launching of Child led newsletter, art Competition, theater programme ,open letter to Prime Minister and open discussion to mark the Children’s day.

The chief guest offered the services of Social Welfare Department while Md Tariquzzaman, said “I will visit the slum and will provide sports materials to the underprivileged children at Rayerbazar. Rashed Akter added “I will support to stop child marriage and smooth birth Registration process.”
